First water fall

I painted in 300 g post card size and finished in 15 min!!!  I was so afaid of painting rocks and wondered how to paint a water fall.  It is not so hard as it looks.  I'm now ready for painting the desert rock with the group today.

Left over pears

I tried this on 200 g paper.  First, the yellow pear wash was not standing.  I wondered why?  Hubby suggested that it needed to be darker shadow on the bottom.  I tried it and diluted the higher left to the lighter color.  Here they are.

But.. the purple pear is falling too !!

How to fix it ??  Help !!

Six members were together this week.  We painted a simple color touch of the leaves and a  Soft Focus Technique on damp paper - a lesson from Elizabeth Fluehr YouTube.

It was a very interesting technique and every one did it very good.

It was my turn to be an organiser and a producer this week.

Every one enjoyed it and was excited through out the session, I guess !!

Me..?*#*  I was relieved.. that.. things went well.

Just pick up some fall leaves and try it on 200 g paper.

Happy New Year every one!! 

Every body is having a very happy day back home celebrating.  Young people are taking long holiday visiting their family.  The older generation gives blessing to the younger.  Every one get wet with perfumed water and flowers.

Emm... cool and feel fresh...sooooo goooood.  Miss it.

We painted two Japanese favourite style post cards.  One was a donut post card, mine was very bright fancy one !! 

I should have writen the post card in Japanese charactor.

I painted this about 4 times from model photo "draw and paint together" blog.  I'll paint it again a few times, it should be better then and if it is I will send it for a competition !! ha... ha.

It's a dream, though.

My painting is one step forward and 2 steps backward these days.  I thought I'm going to  skip this painting from the blog.  For a second thought, I add it anyway to see what the comment would be !!

Our AAWC meeting on Wednesday morning, we learned how to paint "negative painting".  It was my first time, we were very happy and enjoyed doing it.  It was bit messy because we put load of water and splash colors in to the paper.  Every one did their work very well, so did I.

After painting, a very good Japanese friend invited us for cup of tea at her apartment.  But surprisingly that she has lovely Sushi ready for us.  Emm.. Yummi...

Practising about 20 apples was amazingly interesting.  I' m now painting an apple without first pencil drawing as a result.  I'm still struggling with mixing too much water in to the colors so that colors were out of control.   The halos need more practising.

Looking forward to do more and more practising.

April Fool's Day!!!

April Fool's Day !!!

I'm going to scare you with my red apples!!!   I thought these red apples would turn

really ugly.  But they were fine, weren't they?  So my April Fool's day to you  is

not successful?? I painted them this morning at about 4 am.  I didn't do the

home work yesterday.  It was my working day yesterday, doing IELTS

exam proctoring.  We, proctors spent 4.5 hrs, standing and walking

around the theatre proctoring.  Very tiring day.
