Nice cup of tea

My exercise

I was very disappointed about the money exchange rate at the Exchange office.

We need to transfer the money for our holiday back home.  Say, it was

about 10-12% less within a year.  But the staffs at the bank are

very nice. They gave their best of services that made me quite

a bit better from grumpiness from the loss sum of money.

A nice cup of tea for a VIP customer, was it nice?

Love it. 

What a hot day

I was walking from the bank under the sun at about 11:30 am.

On the way I stopped to buy some different kinds

of roasted nuts.  I thought I'll continue to go to

Bawadi Mall to buy some present for my

two grandsons.  Unfortunately, I couldn't

make it because it is so hot and I ran

out of energy just that.  Oh well.. I'll

try some other time.

Gulf News

Gulf news paper ...is due to finish 9 years suscription today.  We're kind

of missing it, but it's time for change to try something new.

We thought of subscribe "the National", may be.

We will see again when we come back from

holiday.  On the other hand, do we need

news paperthese days? 

E-Gate

 

It's time to renew our E-Gate card again.  We tried Al Ain Airport

this time.  The airport is quiet, we lucky that there is staff

working on Friday morning. 

He is either emotional or no human feeling  to do

things (like a robot). We hardly have a word with him. 

We told him what we want, he looked at our own

card and passport.  He started to process with 

one question that if we wanted to  change a photo

or keep the old one, and all done.

May be he is not happy that he have to work on the weekend.

200 Dhrs each, worth  2 years.

Mea Kong River

Mea Kong River in rainy season (June-Aug). The water's

height is about a meter from the street.  The water

moves fast and the color is red because of the mud. 

There are lot of fish.  I really  missed swimming in

the river and watching moon and sun come up. 

The opposite side of the  river is Laos

our neighbouring country.

Town Center

The month of December to April are the best month in the UAE.  I took

this photo in April late on the street by Town Center.  At this

time of the year (June) it is very hard to go out because of 

the heat.  It is very hot and dry and it make me dizzy

and tire easy :-0

Safety First. I choosed to do some painting at home.

We, four Thais, two children and a Japanese get together

for an exchange chat and have lunch on my treat.

I cooked "ขนมจีนน้ำเงี่ยวไก่". I was surprised 

that the two out of two Thais've never try

it before.  This is their first time for

four of them which is very good.

Every thing went well.. and all happy.

Excited game

It's excited waching a tennis Queen's Club Championship yesterday

afternoon between Andy Muray, UK and Jo W. Tsonga, France.

Tsonga seems stronger and faster.  He can easily and quicky

wins his game set. At the end, Muray managed to

break the game sarve twice and won. Yeh...

That made hubby feels better

Welcome to my studio corner

Welcome to.. my studio corner..

Dha....da...

I tried pen and watercolor again this morning at my brand

new corner.  I found that my perspective has not go any where.

But... I finished the work faster, that's

a bit progress, I guess. 

Got it right

The desk was arrived last night.  A friend kindly had someone

to deliver and install it for us.  That was very kind of her. 

I moved my painting materials, books to my new place which

made our dining table area much better looking. I hardly got

up this morning, my body was aching every where.

It might be because I moved the funiture around

last night to set up my new studio corner. 

Happy pain... :-)

Studio corner

I bought a desk from a friend who is leaving the country for

very friendly price like she gave it for free.  Looking

forward to set up my studio corner by Sunday.

Thanks to lovely hubby to find time to pick it

up while he is very busy on his students'

examination time.

Twelve hours

We're head to Abu Dhabi early this morning applied for 70 days

visa to Thailand for hubby.  It took us 12 hours to hang around

waiting for it to be ready.  We went to Marina Mall, have

lunch, shopping and so on. 

We went back to Thai embassy at about 3 pm and got lost on the

traffic.  Visa finished at about 4 pm.  Our driver have

to pick up someone at the airport on the way  back.  We

got home at about 6:30 pm exhausted.

Lucky that we desired to use some one to drive for us.

not using metre taxi that we usually does.  Otherwise

it would be cost us around 1,000 Dhrs instead of

300 Dhrs.

A healthy one

The plants at our apartment are quit beautiful these days.

I hope that after 70 days of holliday, it'll be still the same.

Our house keeper "Ranee" did very well last year.

Big thanks to her.

Oh.. oh.. I forgot to water the plants this week... :-(

I'd better do it now. :-)

Practice

Lunch at Khek's

Khek invited me and other four friends for lunch today.

She cooked "Kuow Jub", it was very delicious and

everyone love it.  She is really good cook.

Next week, there will be my turn to cook

for them. I desired to do it next week

before the summer break.

Vacation is coming

 

Summer school break is coming in the next two week from now.

It's time to buy present for everyone back home. 

I was able to get into a few shops and time

was out.  I didn't buy much as I expected.

Have to go back again. 

BTW, the temperature is 48 degrees today !!!

Can't wait to walk in the rain back home.

Coffee time

I bought this coffee pot from Istanbul a few years

ago.  It was in the kitchen cupboard since then.

I'm thinking of trying it out one day.

I tried Turkish coffee once when we went to Turkey.

It' s bit too strong for me, though. 

But I did like their ice cream very much.

Keep practice

I didn't paint enough these days.  I was asked by a friend

to look after her boy "Benjamin".  Ben was ill.  He couldn't

go to school.  We played and talked a lot, it made me a bit

tired at the end of the day.  Unfortunately, it is actually, an

excuse for not do the painting.

Oh well !!

50 degrees C in the UAE

The highest temperature today is amazingly hot,  it's 50 degrees C.

We desired to stay indoors and enjoy our cool airconditioner

at home as it's the weekend.

A friend of mine brought me "Bai Kra Prow" from Dubai.

so

We had "Pad Gai Bai Kra Prow" and "Kai dow" for lunch.

Umm.. yummy

It made this hot day a great day !!!
