Historic flood @ home

Our house after repaint in Oct 2010.

Here it was a historic flood in Thailand, October - December 2011. 

The highest water level on the street was 2.5 m and in side the

house was 1.5 m.  Until today we don't know when we can 

move in and big clean up .  We also don't know how

much it will cost for renovation.  Very sad :(

Breakfast Muffins 

Simple but delicious !!  Here are the recipes. try it, you'll love it.

2 cups flour      1 1/4 cups  Sugar

2 tsp  baking soda        1 T  Cinnamon                

1/2 tsp  Salt                   1/3 cup  Shredded coconut 

2 cups grated carrot  and apple (1 ea)  

1/2 cup raisins       1/2 cup walnut/pecan

8 oz  1 can pineapple (squeeze off juices)

3    eggs              1 cup  vegetable oil

1 tsp  vanilla                                        

Mix & Bake @ 175'c

Flooding in Thailand

Very serious flood back in Thailand. 

I was very much worried about it these days. The latest news was

that there will be more water from heavy rain next week.  Hundreds

of people are working hard night after night, try to build up the

sand bags embankment along the canal to stop water

get in to our housing area. 

Thanks to you all.

What a sacrifice and public consciousness, we saluted.

I called my daughter this morning about the flood.  She said, she and her

husband need to higher up things at the 1st. floor of the house.  At the

moment nothing serious yet.  Hope that the government

are able to drain the water out from Chaow Phraya river

low enough to support water from other rivers

from North and before the  heavy rain next

week and higher up the sea water level.

 

Hopefully, we'll be safe.

Please, let us pray for millions of people who are suffering.

I'll go to the gym every day if possible.

Back to work

After a long holiday.

It's time to get the brush wet again !!. 

The two monkeys

These are the two monkeys we have at home.  They were 6.5 and 5 years old.

We have to keep them busy with activities all the time.  Otherwise they

jump up and become a ninja fighter until one is running out of energy.

But it is hard to bear, because they're going on and on.

On the other hand they are a lovely grandsons that

we love.

Housing project refreshing

 

Almost the last day of our summer holiday vacation.  We had an

idea of refreshing our and partners housing project near by where we live.  The housing project has been pending for few years.  We are on processing  renovate and decorate it.  We are planning to rent it for holiday stay or to sale it if someone who might be of interest.  A house is very beautiful and well designed in a very good location, just about 5 minute walk to clean quite beach.

Traditional fishing

There is local traditional fishing every evening for the family dinner.

They have to spend few hours to have enough fish for three

or four families.  It is hard to get the fish near by the beach

these days, they said.  We were watching them and wish 

them luck each time, but not much luck to day!!

Cloudy evening

A mountain view from our house.  It was mostly cloundy evening in August.

I took this photo from our back bacony that's hubby's favourite

sunset  view waching.

Sea foods

Another day out for sea foods.  We drove about 50 km. south

for a beautiful lunch.  It was beautiful weather and green

coconut trees a long side of the country road.  Fishermen

were drying their fishes at the villages.

Lovely garden

A beautiful coffee shop in a small village, just about

ten minutes drive from our home.  It's a lovely place to

have a cup of coffee, snack and enjoy their

 lovely garden.

Love it.

More trees

We added more trees on the back yard. We changed the soil that

wasn't so healthy.  It's quite hard work and costly to change

the soil, though.We hope that the trees will grow well

this time and hope to see it gets bigger on our

next holiday.
